Joyce Janson

Joyce Janson grew up in Stockport, England, and has lived and worked in Germany for over 20 years. After successfully completing a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Philosophy at the University of Manchester, she proceeded to qualify as an English Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) with KPMG Manchester leaving in 1988 to follow a career in the retail and services sectors.

She moved to Germany in 1992 and has worked as financial controller in the logistics and production sectors and as finance director for 15 years in a distribution services and rental business in Darmstadt.

Experience

Joyce Janson has wide ranging experience in running a finance department covering the areas of controlling, credit control, budgeting and forecasting, reporting (both internal and external), treasury management and also system implementation and upgrades. She was also responsible for overseas subsidiaries with all of the related accounting, reporting and taxation issues. Where company acquisitions or disposals were made then she was a critical member of the due diligence team and closely involved within any data room preparations.
